Cirque du Soleil celebrates the musical legacy of the Beatles
Cirque du Soleil opened LOVE on July 1, 2006 at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas. LOVE is a compilation of the musical experience of the beloved rock group The Beatles. Originating from a past suggestion by the late George Harrison and a friendship with the founder Guy Laliberté, LOVE is the first time such cooperation has been joined with a musical production of The Beatles. The Beatles LOVE show explores the content of the songs, through the poetry of the lyrics, as interpreted by unique performances from an international cast of 60 artists including aerial performance, extreme sports and urban freestyle dance. A unique soundtrack of Beatles music has been created for LOVE using the original master tapes at Abbey Road Studios which when combined with the panorama of the custom-built theatre at The Mirage envelops the audience in a Beatles experience as never before.
Performances are held Thursday through Monday at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There are no performances on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
